Concept and location comparisons

Operational data flows into one reporting view.

Bring different markets into one operating picture.

PUTIEN operates multiple restaurant concepts across Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. Each market produced important operational and financial information, but the data arrived through different systems, formats and reporting processes.

That fragmentation made a timely regional view difficult. Outlet managers needed a clearer connection between daily operations and profitability, while operations teams needed to compare concepts and locations using measures they could trust. Repeated manual consolidation also made it harder to extend reporting as the business changed.

A dependable route from each source to each decision.

SOZCODE designed a regional data platform around three layers: Pipedream for ingestion and orchestration, BigQuery as the central warehouse, and Power BI for management reporting. Source-system identities remain abstracted behind reusable workflows, giving the analytics programme a consistent foundation even when countries or concepts use different operational tools.

  • Connect each source in the way it arrives. Scheduled, webhook and file-triggered Pipedream workflows collect transaction, product, payment, finance, workforce, target and customer-feedback data from APIs, reports and shared business systems.
  • Standardise the regional picture. The workflows align reporting dates, outlet identifiers and source formats before records are written to BigQuery. Transaction headers, line items and payments remain connected for downstream analysis.
  • Check completeness and recover gaps. Validation workflows identify missing records and support controlled backfills for a specific outlet or reporting period, helping the warehouse remain dependable as a reporting source.
  • Deliver role-appropriate reporting. Power BI turns the consolidated warehouse into management views for outlet performance, P&L and cross-location comparison without exposing the complexity of the underlying source systems.

The outcome

From delayed consolidation to a live management view.

Outlet managers can now see current P&L and operational performance in one place, helping them understand what is happening in their outlet without waiting for a manually consolidated report.

Operations teams can compare restaurant concepts and locations through a consistent set of measures. The shared view makes performance gaps easier to identify and gives the team a clearer basis for deciding where attention is needed.
